Hey everyone~ While my blog is still in a state of limbo, I figured I might as well post a review I’d like to share with you all! Last year for The OASG, I reviewed a light novel series called Sexiled and oh my god. I absolutely loved it. I haven’t read that many light novels – at least compared to the copious amount of manga I’ve read – but I don’t think it’s presumptuous to say that Sexiled will always be on my favorites list. It was made of everything I love: feminism, humor, strong female characters, and even a little bit of yuri. I binge read both volumes, which is something I don’t normally do because I like taking my time when I read. But I just couldn’t put the books down. They were that good.

The Anti-Social Geniuses Review: Sexiled: My Sexist Party Leader Kicked Me Out, So I Teamed Up With a Mythical Sorceress! Volumes 1 and 2

While there are light novels I’ve enjoyed before, Sexiled has had the most impact of me so far. I find certain titles I’ve read fading from memory. But not Sexiled. Over the past few months since I read this series, I keep remembering certain parts and laughing to myself. In particular, I keep thinking about Lapace, the snarky sorceress who was my favorite character because she cracked me up constantly. I’ve even used its writing style as inspiration for a short story I wrote. If you enjoy any of the elements I mentioned earlier – feminism, yuri, etc. – or just want to read something refreshing and funny… do yourself a favor and read this light novel series! I promise you won’t regret it.
